Kit of All Trades is an episodic comic that follows (you guessed it) - Kit, engaging in their range of hobbies and interests!

We come to learn that it's not only the thing you're best at that makes who you are, but every single thing you've tried, failed, discovered, and practiced in between!
The Comic
Originally a school project, I knew that I had to come up with something that with efficiency, interest, and relatability in mind. So all I had to ask was one question - What is something I can endlessly talk about? - and as narcissistic as it may seem; it's myself!

As young as a wee elementary student, I've always knew that I had a story only I could tell. Watching animators like JaidenAnimations, TheOdd1sOut, and even comic artists like Mewtripled - who all share their own experiences to the world - I wanted to do the same! So from a comic like this, I knew that my art could just spur out quite easily!
Inspired by japanese 4-koma manga strips (more specifically, ones drawn by manga artist and video game dev Nankidai) I decided to format my comic in a similar way. The monochrome color palette of yellows and orange are 1: my favorite colors, and 2: express the happy and lighthearted feeling anyone can get from each page!

Unfinished Symphony is an upcoming for-profit physical fanzine dedicated to Kaede Akamatsu from New Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.The zine's focus will be on Kaede and her life before, during, and after the canon events of NDRV3, with an emphasis on the platonic connections she made with the other participants of the Killing Game. (Unfinished Symphony, 2023).
The connection between classmates is a cherished feeling - and that's what I wanted to keep in the forefront of this piece! After writing several ideas for how a school day for Kaede is like; I doodled the interactions between these characters alongside their extroverted, stubborn, yet lovable class rep!
She's surrounded by the dark, yet she's glowing - I wanted to show Kaede in full confidence, with a hand on her hip and a poised stature - a big contrast to the whirlwind just behind, along with her line "I don't have any faith in humanity". This piece had different iterations on its composition, but since it was a page spread, I wanted to highlight Kaede once you flip to this illustration - then seeing the other side of the page; the cameras and its glare on to her.
The Ballroom: Miss Mekaru

Tsurugi resents the entire concept of a ball, given the circumstances he and his classmates are under. But that changes once Rei is the one who offers to dance. Maybe... it's worth it, if it can make her happy.

The Ballroom: Miss Mekaru is a Danganronpa: Another fan comic based on the written fanfiction by shsl_digital_love.
